DSC Krunch Cricket Bats: Grades, Profile and Prices
The DSC Krunch is a big, round-toed bat with an oval handle, which its specification calls a monster profile, and it is last season's range. We have no 2026 Krunch, and DSC's UK site now lists Krunch kit bags but no Krunch bats, so the 2024 and 2025 bats we stock are the ones left. With us they run from £169.99 to £414.99. This guide explains the Krunch profile and grades and the junior sizes, and lists every Krunch we stock with our prices on 20 October 2026.
The Krunch Profile
With the Krunch gone from DSC's UK site, the shape comes from the specification on our listings, which is the same across the range:
- Profile: what the specification calls a monster profile.
- Toe: a round toe.
- Handle: an oval handle.
- Swell: the 2025 Krunch 5000 junior is described with a pronounced swell.
Neither DSC nor our listings publish edge, spine or sweet spot measurements for the Krunch, so you are buying the shape on description and on the weight in the listing. For comparison inside DSC's current range, the DSC Cynos has a mid swell and the DSC Blu a mid to low profile. Our guide to DSC cricket bats compares every range, and our comparison of Indian cricket bat brands sets DSC against the other subcontinent makers.
What the DSC Grades Mean
Because DSC's UK site no longer carries the Krunch, the willow grades here come from the specification on each of our listings rather than from DSC. The Krunch 2000 is grade 2 English willow, the Krunch 3000 and Krunch 5000 are grade 3, and the Krunch 9000 is grade 4. The juniors follow the same pattern: the 5000 junior is grade 3 and the 9000 junior grade 4.
As on most DSC ranges, the lower the number, the higher the grade and the price. The one oddity is the middle: the 3000 and the 5000 share grade 3 in their specifications, the 3000 costs £83 more, and our listings do not say what else separates them.
Every Krunch We Stock
| Bat | Year | Our price | In stock |
|---|---|---|---|
| Krunch 2000 | 2025 | £414.99 | SH 2lb 9oz |
| Krunch 3000 | 2024 | £262.99 | SH 2lb 9oz |
| Krunch 5000 | 2024 | £179.99 | SH 2lb 9oz |
| Krunch 9000 | 2025 | £169.99 | SH 2lb 9oz |
Senior bats in stock on 20 October 2026; SH is short handle. Every senior Krunch we have left is a 2lb 9oz short handle, one bat per model, so this range suits you only if that weight does. An older model year is not an older bat: the willow grade is what it was when the bat was new. Every bat here is in our DSC cricket bats collection.
Junior Krunch Bats
| Bat | Willow | Sizes in stock | Our price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Krunch 9000 (2024) | English willow, grade 4 | 5, 6, Harrow | £149.99 |
| Krunch 5000 (2025) | English willow, grade 3 | 6, Small Adult | £179.99 |
Both are English willow for hard-ball cricket. The 9000 at £149.99 covers sizes 5 to Harrow; the 5000 junior is the higher grade and costs the same as the 2024 senior Krunch 5000. Use our cricket bat size guide to choose the size and our guide to the best junior cricket bats to compare brands.
Which Krunch to Buy
- Cheapest senior Krunch: the Krunch 9000 at £169.99, in grade 4 willow.
- Club player: the 2024 Krunch 5000 at £179.99, a grade 3 bat for £10 more.
- Before you pay more: the 2024 Krunch 3000 at £262.99 is listed in the same grade as the 5000, so compare the two listings before paying the extra £83.
- Top grade: the Krunch 2000 at £414.99, in grade 2 willow.
If 2lb 9oz is too heavy, or you want a current bat, the Cynos 11 at £159.99 is cheaper still and comes in 2lb 8oz. The DSC Blak is the other last-season range, with a low sweet spot. Every Krunch is English willow and needs preparing before a match; our guide to knocking in a new cricket bat covers it, and our Players Edition cricket bats collection holds the top grades from other makers if you want to go further up.
FAQs: DSC Krunch
Is the DSC Krunch still made?
We have no 2026 Krunch, and DSC's UK site lists Krunch bags but no Krunch bats. The 2024 and 2025 bats we stock are what is left.
Has the Krunch been tested?
Not that we could find. The Cricketer's DSC reviews cover the Blu 4000 and Pearla X2, and we found no Wisden test of the Krunch.
Who uses the DSC Krunch?
DSC's player page lists no one with Krunch kit. Its current players use ranges such as the Spliit, Cynos, Blak, Blu and Pearla.
Is a lower Krunch number better?
Yes, in willow grade: the Krunch 2000 is grade 2 and the 9000 grade 4 in their specifications. The 3000 and 5000 are both listed as grade 3.
What does the Krunch cost?
With us, from £169.99 for the Krunch 9000 to £414.99 for the Krunch 2000. Juniors start at £149.99.
