Cricket Gifts: Christmas Gift Ideas for Cricket Fans

The best cricket gifts are the ones a fan would not buy for themselves: a shirt from a team they follow from afar, a mystery shirt they get to unbox, or a proper bat for a child moving up to a hard ball. This guide sorts our gifts by who you are buying for and what you want to spend, with our prices on 14 October 2026, and ends with the dates that matter for Christmas delivery.

Mystery Boxes

A mystery box is one official cricket shirt from a team we pick at random, packed in a Mystery Cricket box rather than a mailing bag, which is why most of them are bought as presents. The standard box can be any team in the world, from international sides to the IPL, SA20, Big Bash and others; the IPL box is always an IPL team. You can tell us at checkout which teams to avoid, so a fan who already owns a shirt, or would never wear a rival's, does not get it. Our mystery box guide lists what can turn up and how sizing works.

Team Shirts

If the person you are buying for follows one team, a shirt you choose beats a surprise. Our individual shirts are mostly a single size or two, so check the size before you fall for the team. On 14 October 2026 that includes India's 2025 ODI and T20 shirts at £44.99, SA20 shirts for the Pretoria Capitals, Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals at £44.99 to £49.99, Kolkata Knight Riders player edition long sleeve shirts at £54.99 and MLC, PSL, ILT20 and T10 shirts from £41.99. The winter gives them a reason to wear it: England play three Tests in South Africa over Christmas, including the Boxing Day Test at Centurion, the Big Bash starts on 12 December, and the SA20's fifth season opens on 17 January 2027 with the Pretoria Capitals against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Our guide to cricket shirts in the UK explains fan, replica and player editions and how they fit.

Bats for Young Players

A bat is the present a junior player remembers, and it is worth getting the material right. For a child playing soft-ball cricket, a Kashmir willow bat such as the DSC Spliit 110, £42.99 in sizes 1 to 4, is what the makers recommend. For a child moving up to a hard ball, an entry junior English willow bat such as the Gray-Nicolls Havoc 1.0 Power Junior, £84.99 to £109.99 in every size from 1 to Harrow, is the step up. Size by the child's height now, not the height they will be next summer. One thing to know before Christmas morning: a natural English willow bat needs several hours of knocking in before it faces a hard ball, so it is a winter project, not a bat to take straight into the nets. Our guides to the best junior cricket bats and knocking in a new bat cover both.

Gifts by Who You Are Buying For

  • A dad or grandad who follows England or India: the team shirt in his size if we have it, otherwise a Mystery Box with his rivals on the avoid list.
  • A child who loves the game: the Kids Mystery Box at £36.88, one of our kids shirts, or a bat if they play.
  • A parent and child who watch together: the Adults and Kids Bundle at £72.88; ask at checkout and we will match the team if stock allows.
  • A collector: a player edition shirt or a team from a league they do not yet own. Our guide to cricket jersey collecting explains what makes a shirt worth keeping.
  • Someone you cannot read: a gift card, from £10 to £100, delivered instantly by email.

Christmas Delivery

Every order is sent tracked across the UK, with delivery aimed at two to four working days from dispatch. As a guide for Christmas 2026, the Post Office lists the last recommended posting dates for Royal Mail as Saturday 19 December for Tracked 48, Monday 21 December for Tracked 24 and 1st Class, and Wednesday 23 December for Special Delivery. Those are the latest dates a parcel can be posted, so order a few days before them to leave time for dispatch. The gift card is the one present that cannot miss Christmas: it is delivered by email straight away, and the recipient spends it on whatever they like. If a shirt arrives in the wrong size, contact us and we will swap it.
