Adidas Cricket Bats: Incurza Range, Grades and Prices

Adidas Incurza Control 4.0 cricket bat

Every Adidas cricket bat we stock is an Incurza, sold in two lines, Control and Heat, with a number from 2.0 to 5.0 that sets the price: the lower the number, the dearer the bat. We hold seven senior Adidas bats from £209.99 to £469.99 and three junior bats at £139.99 to £174.99, all English willow. This guide explains how the names work, lists every Adidas bat in stock with our prices on 22 October 2026, and covers the juniors, the one independent test we could find, the players and how to choose.

Who Makes Adidas Bats

Adidas is a sportswear company that came to cricket bats in 2008. Its first bats went on sale in October 2008 in three shapes: the Libro, the lightest; the Pellara, with a long, low sweet spot; and the Incurza, the heaviest and most powerful of the three. So the Incurza name has been in the Adidas range from the start. A report carried by Gulf News said Adidas runs its worldwide cricket business from India. We have not found a statement from Adidas naming the company that makes its bats, so we do not name one.

How the Incurza Names Work

Take the Incurza Control 4.0. Incurza is the range, Control is the line and 4.0 is the tier. In 2008 the Incurza came in four grades, Club, County, Pro and Elite. The current bats use numbers instead, and in our range the number tracks the price: the 2.0 bats are £469.99, the 3.0 bats £299.99, the 4.0 bats £249.99 and the 5.0 bats £209.99.

The descriptions supplied with our Control and Heat bats give both lines the same brief in their specification: English willow, a large profile with thick edges and a big swell, a round cane handle and a multi-textured grip, aimed at the modern player. They do not set out a difference in shape between Control and Heat, so judge each bat on its own weight and pick-up rather than on the line name.

Prices on 22 October 2026. Our Adidas listings carry no model year. Most of these bats are down to one weight, so check the listing before you set your heart on one. The Heat 4.0 is not in stock in a senior size. There is no separate Adidas collection: the bats are in our cricket bats range, alongside every other brand we sell.

Adidas Junior Bats

Bat Our price Sizes in stock
Incurza Heat 3.0 Junior £174.99 6, Harrow
Incurza Control 4.0 Junior £139.99 5, 6, Harrow
Incurza Heat 4.0 Junior £139.99 5, 6, Harrow

Adidas juniors start at size 5 in our range, so they are not a first bat for a young child. Our cricket bat size guide explains how to pick the size, and our guide to the best junior cricket bats covers the smaller sizes from other makers.

Independent Test Results

The Cricketer tested the Incurza Control 4.0 in March 2026. Its test bat weighed 2lb 9oz with 40mm edges and a £300 RRP; ours is £249.99. The bat scored 8.5 overall, with 9 for pick-up and feel, 8.6 for performance and 8.3 each for first impression and build quality. The testers described a huge profile built for power and said the round handle offered "a highly responsive feel". One tester gave it a perfect 10. We found no Wisden test of an Adidas bat and no independent test of a Heat model.

Players Who Have Used Adidas Bats

Kevin Pietersen promoted Adidas bats from 2008, the year the range launched. Stuart Broad joined Adidas in 2010 and was to use the Libro bat, Marketing Week reported. More recently, The Cricketer notes that the England players Jofra Archer and Tom Banton have endorsed the Incurza range in the past. Bat deals change from season to season, and our guide to what cricket bats the pros use explains why a sticker on a Test bat tells you little about the bat in the shop.

Choosing an Adidas Bat

  1. Set the budget first. The 5.0 bats at £209.99 are the way into Adidas English willow; the 3.0 bats at £299.99 are the middle; the 2.0 bats at £469.99 are the top of the range we hold.
  2. Pick a weight, not a line. With most bats down to one weight, the bat that fits you is the one in stock at your weight. Control or Heat comes second.
  3. Expect a big bat. Every Incurza in our range is described as a large profile with thick edges. If you want a light, low-middled bat for touch play, another brand will suit you better; our cricket bat buying guide explains profile and pick-up.
  4. Knock it in. Oil and knock in any new English willow bat before it faces a hard ball. Our guide to knocking in a new cricket bat shows how.

FAQs: Adidas Cricket Bats

Are Adidas cricket bats good?
The one independent test we found, The Cricketer's 2026 review of the Incurza Control 4.0, scored it 8.5 out of 10. As with any brand, the right bat is the one whose weight and pick-up suit you.

What is the difference between Adidas Incurza Control and Heat?
The descriptions supplied with both lines give them the same specification in words: large profile, thick edges, round cane handle. Within each line the number sets the price.

What do the numbers on Adidas bats mean?
In our range a lower number means a dearer bat: 2.0 is £469.99 and 5.0 is £209.99.

Who makes Adidas cricket bats?
Adidas does not name the maker in anything we have found, so we do not either. A Gulf News report said Adidas runs its worldwide cricket business from India.

Does Adidas make junior cricket bats?
Yes. We hold three Incurza juniors in sizes 5, 6 and Harrow, at £139.99 and £174.99.

Do Adidas bats need knocking in?
Yes. Knock in any new English willow bat before using it against a hard ball.
